From the May 31, 2023 board meeting minutes:
There have been some inquiries to the board on what a homeowner can change around their property. Changes inside your home can be made at any time without approval from our HOA [although city permits may be required]. Outside your home property areas, especially in areas that might encroach into common area, just contact our board using the contact link here on our website. Our Architectural Control Committee will happily contact you and help you review your change requests. Just leave your contact # with your inquiries. As a reminder, we have attached part of our CC&R’s:
ARTICLE V ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL
Section 1. No building, fence, wall or other structure shall be commenced, erected or maintained upon the Properties, nor shall any exterior addition to or change or alteration therein be made until the plans and specifications showing the nature, kind, shape, height, materials, color, and location of the same shall have been submitted to the Architectural Control Committee and approved in writing as to harmony of external design and location in relation to surrounding structures, topography and existing or planned plantings by the Board of Directors of the Association, or by the Architectural Control Committee composed of three (3) or more representatives appointed by the Board. Any exterior maintenance of structures sharing a party wall with another structure shall require approval of the Board.
