Depending on the source of the noise disturbance, different city departments or other agencies will respond. For complaints regarding:
- Lawn equipment, residential heat pumps, or noise from commercial or industrial uses: The city’s Zoning and Nuisance staff respond to these types of noise complaints. For more information or to discuss a problem, please call 541-682-5819.
- Barking dogs: Dogs barking continuously for 15 minutes or more can be reported to Animal Services at 541-687-4060 which is answered for messages 24/7. Animal Services officers respond as time allows. Barking dog complaints may also be made to the Eugene Police Department non-emergency number at 541-682-5111.
- Amplified music, or other noise disturbances between 10:00 p.m and 7:00 a.m: Impacts from these types of noise should be reported to the Eugene Police Department non-emergency department at 541-682-5111.
